AChemS Travel Fellowship 2023

AChemS is pleased to announce the availability of fellowships for under-represented individuals interested in the chemical senses. The fellowships, funded in part by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, defray the cost of travel, meals, lodging, and registration to attend the Annual Meeting of AChemS. Awardees will be recognized on the AChemS website and at the annual meeting. Members of African-American, Hispanic-American, Native-American, Pacific Islander, or other ethnic or racial groups under-represented in chemosensory research, as well as veterans and those with physical and mental disabilities will be considered.

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants need not be AChemS members. We will consider applications from U.S. citizens and green card holders, as well as applications from non-US citizens and non-green card holders [Note this is a new consideration]. Members of African, African-American, Hispanic-American, Latino/Hispanic, Native-American, Pacific Islander, or other ethnic or racial groups under-represented in chemosensory research, including veterans, those with physical and mental disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ communities will be considered. Undergraduates, graduate students, post docs, research associates, research assistants and junior faculty are eligible for the fellowship. Awardees will be selected according to their academic background, experience, and research interests.

We invite applicants for the AChemS Travel Fellowship for Diversity. The diversity travel fellowships will cover travel costs and other meeting related expenses. These fellowships are for under-represented individuals with an interest in chemical senses research.

Deadline for receipt of applications is January 31, 2023.
