The Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research (JHCGPR) of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is excited to announce that applications are open for the second Summer Youth Institute on Reducing Gun Violence in America: Evidence for Change.

The Center is looking for 60-70 youth to participate in this *online* 4-day summer learning experience–Monday, July 13 – Thursday, July 16, 2020–taught by some of the world’s leading scholars on gun violence policy and prevention. The Institute is designed to provide an array of learning opportunities for youth to enhance their understanding of scientific evidence and promising solutions to gun violence, build advocacy skills, and foster networking opportunities between youth representing numerous states and diverse backgrounds. Students will learn from leading experts, including researchers, advocates, people working in communities, and fellow youth advocates. The Institute will cover gun violence in its many forms, underscoring the importance of equity, community, and diversity in developing effective policy solutions.
