The Youth SDGs Cafe is a monthly meetup for sustainability enthusiasts to learn about the latest trends in the development world, network with amazing people who are working towards implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and also build on their skills to empower their immediate communities to action.
This October the Youth SDGs Cafe will be discussing the role of Hate Speech and Social Inclusion in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. New Media has made it freedom of expression free and easier and we will be highlighting the merit and the demerit. Does freedom of speech mean we have to say everything? How can we create a society that is more inclusive and empathetic?
The event is being organized by NextGen Africa Initiative with support from the United Nations Association of Nigeria, the United Nations Information Centre, Lagos and the Nigerian Youth SDGs Network.
