The Peacebuilding Commission is holding its annual session on November 12th in New York, with an overall thematic focus on the Sahel.
The United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth hopes to nominate 2 young peacebuilders working in the Sahel, to join the interactive sessions. This is a call for applications for the opportunity, open to peacebuilders from the Sahel region only.
The first interactive session (11am-1pm) will focus specifically on partnership and coordination between the UN, the AU, ECOWAS, EU and the G5. We would like to add a young peacebuilder representing a network/organization who is familiar with these different organizations.

The second interactive session (3-5pm) will be focused on women and youth in the Sahel, and we would like to have a representative from a youth organization/network who can talk about the work of civil society in that region towards building peace and security.
