Model ASEM Bratislava 2018 (Partly Funded) | Diplomacy Opportunities

Model ASEM Bratislava 2018 is a part of the Model ASEM spin-off editions that will take place at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of Comenius University in Bratislava from 26 to 28 October 2018. The Model will bring together 53 young delegates from ASEM Partner countries who will engage in a political simulation of ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. The main goal of this very first Model ASEM in Central Europe is to provide an educational platform for young leaders from the ASEM Partner countries and to increase interest in ASEM process and Europe-Asia cooperation.

Main partners of the event are: Asia-Europe Foundation, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, and Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of Comenius University in Bratislava.

Eligibility & Costs

The applicant must meet following criteria:
– citizen of one of the ASEM Partner countries
– aged between 18 and 30 (including) at the time of the application deadline
– a student at university (or other higher education institution) at the time of the application deadline

Please note that there is no registration fee, however each participant is responsible for obtaining visa (if applicable) and for covering the costs of the travel to and from Bratislava. Participants will be provided with free accomodation during the Model.
