King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) has launched a call to nominate “Heroes of Dialogue”. Today, more than ever, the stories of “dialogue heroes” among us – individual agents of hope and change who have committed themselves to fostering peaceful coexistence in their communities – need to be heard.

If you know of an inspirational individual who has contributed to fostering peace in his/her community and used dialogue to bridge difference, we would welcome their nomination! The top candidates will be featured in a hardcover publication so that their stories can serve as an inspiration for others to become dialogue advocates in their own communities.

The International Dialogue Centre KAICIID welcomes the nomination of any candidate who fulfils all, or a majority of the following characteristics:

  2. An active builder of bridges across communities of religious and ethnic difference.
  3. Firmly committed to reducing discrimination or violence against marginalized communities
  4. Successfully equipping communities in conflict areas with dialogue, mediation, or conflict resolution skills.
  5. Actively raising awareness locally and/or globally about the positive, transformative power of dialogue.
  6. Effectively implementing initiatives which promote mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence, and social cohesion.

Please note that the eligibility of all individuals will be subject to verification of the accuracy of application materials.
