Afrika Youth Movement (AYM) is a pan-African, action-oriented, youth-led movement that strives for the participation, development and leadership of African youth to transform Africa and achieve their rights to peace, equality and social justice. We are creating a continent that respects the rights of all its citizens. Through our works we promote values that binds our continent; ubuntu, unity, self-determination, integrity and accountability.
Officially launched in 2015, we are Africa’s largest youth movement connecting over 10,000 members from 40 countries.

The retreat will be AYM strategic meeting for a selected group of 40 young people who are actively involved in strengthening the movement and joining the implementation of the Action Plan as well as becoming an active AYM member.
Following the retreat, there will be a forum at the University of Accra on the 22nd of April, 2018 (International Mother Earth Day). This forum will bring together over 100 young leaders from across Africa to connect with each other, learn and ask critical questions concerning the role of African youth on the implementation of the Agenda 2063 and SDGs; giving them a platform to question and critically address global agenda from the lens of Africa’s agenda; most importantly examine the role of the youth in creating the Africa We Want and engage with different stakeholders
