Wadi Ben-Hirki

Wadi Ben-Hirki is the founder of Wadi Ben-Hirki Foundation, a charity organization that runs five projects which include: STREET2SCHOOL which focuses on providing free and quality education to less-privileged children in my community, GIRLSNOTWIVES which advocates for girl-child education and gender equality and campaigns against trafficking, rape, child-bride marriages and female genital mutilation which are rampant in my community, LITMOW (Love In The Midst Of War), a project that aims to rehabilitate victims of the Boko Haram insurgency in Northern Nigeria by meeting their immediate needs such as food supply, good water, health care and partnering with psychologists and therapists to help them heal so as to change their mind-sets towards retaliation, WBHF’s CLOTHING BANK, a platform where good and quality clothes are sent to orphanage homes and Internally Displaced People’s camps on a regular basis and WBHF’s SHOE SHOP which aims to give out a thousand or more pairs of shoes to school children who can’t afford them by the end of year 2017. I also run Sapphire by WBHF, a social enterprise that helps to raise funds for WBHF and teach young people various skills so they can be self-employed and also help in the production and sale of our merchandise and SHEROES by WBH, a female empowerment initiative.
