Ishita presently is an On-Air Reporter with VIBE105.5FM and have won Top25Canadian Immigrants and Youth-Award; Leading Women/Girls Building Communities Recognition Program; Commonwealth Youth Award(1of17Finalists globally); Young Woman of Distinction; Associate-Fellowship: 10Young-Women-Changing-The-World; Sovereign’s Medal,Volunteers; Top30Under30Sustainability Leaders; StartingBloc-Fellowship; Hook-It-Up Grant Program; Co-Pilot-Fellowship; Rotary Youth Leadership Award and others as a result of her contributions towards inclusion.
Through her advocacy, she has reached about 1.6+million Canadians. More to this, Ishita reviews and analyzes case studies on women’s participation in climate change, conservation, maternal health, governance and revise guidelines to gender mainstreaming in UNDP-supported GEF-financed projects which have been used by U.N.to better inform hiring and training procedures which contributes to positive and sustained women’s policy change.
