Call For Speakers: Commonwealth Youth #IamAble Conference | Diplomacy Opportunities

The Commonwealth Youth Council prepares for its I am ABLE conference and concert in Antigua and Barbuda is making a call for trainers. I AM ABLE seek to contribute towards the development of a more inclusive society by addressing the marginalisation and discrimination of people with disabilities in the Commonwealth. The speakers have to be youth (18-29) with an invisible or visible disability from the Caribbean. The four training sessions will be in public speaking, the use of the media and social media, resource mobilisation and financing and data collection.

The Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC) is the official representative voice of the more than 1.2 billion young people in the Commonwealth. It aims to further advance the youth development agenda by integrating young people into the development work of the Commonwealth at national, regional, and Pan-Commonwealth levels. It also provides a sustainable platform for unified engagement with decision makers and youth-led development initiatives.

The CYC will assist with soliciting funding to attend the conference.
