The training program, organized in collaboration with UNESCO Beirut, GAP on ESD Partner Network 4 and UNESCO Headquarters, will mainly focus on exploring the nexus between issues of social justice, environmental health, human rights and sustainability. The desired outcome is for participants to strengthen their understanding of the interconnected nature of the contemporary sustainability crisis, thus fostering a community of emerging, interdisciplinary sustainability leaders working on strategic interventions to create systemic, meaningful changes on a local, regional and global level.

Travel sponsorship: The travel and accommodation expenses for selected participants will be covered by UNESCO for the duration of the workshop.

This project’s objective is to empower selected youth leaders to inspire and mobilize other young people to take action towards building more sustainable and resilient communities. To also think through the interdisciplinary concerns surrounding the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
