Restless Development Uganda has pioneered youth research, livelihoods programming, and the integration of the Restless Development model. The Uganda team will lead the agency’s research work, by strengthening and incubating expertise, developing and refining approaches and models, and by building and maintaining links with partners. It will build on the experience and practice in Uganda on youth-led research, ranging from grassroots youth led research as part of broader programming and advocacy, through to specific youth research projects working to deliver new longer-term strategic funding, with an immediate focus on addressing donor drop-off in the Karamoja region. Funding success in recent years has come mainly from institutional funders and this role will play a critical role in driving growth in this area focusing on high quality earnings for sustainability of our agency. You and your team will focus on bilateral and multilateral donors, donor governments, partner NGOs, corporates and trusts and foundations.
